Heel Raises are also known as Heel Lifts and are used for a range of different issues, let’s dive into some more information about them.
What do they do?
This is a bit of a loaded question because it really depends on why your practitioner has advised you use them. But on a very basic level they play an important role in taking pressure and load off you feet and lower limb.
As the name suggests, they lift/raise your heel off the ground to reduce the weight placed on your tendons, muscles and bones and alter the way you walk/function.
How to use:
Heel raises can be stuck underneath your sock liner or your insert/orthotic. Alternatively if you have a large footwear collection and would like to transfer them between then we suggest you can leave the adhesive backing on so that you can use them in multiple different shoes.
Suitable for:
-Leg Length Discrepancy (LLD)
-Achilles Tendonitis
– Calcaneal Apophysitis (also known as Sever’s Disease)
-Plantar Fasciitis
– Heel Spurs
