Michael is a passionate podiatrist at Be Podiatry who combines strong clinical expertise with a genuine understanding of what it means to be injured and sidelined.
After completing his studies at La Trobe University, Michael holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master of Podiatric Practice after finishing school at Whitefriars College.
With a background in high-level sport; including triathlons, running, and football, he knows first hand how frustrating pain and injury can be when it interrupts training, competition, or everyday life.
Michael previously worked at Active Feet, where he developed extensive experience managing biomechanical pain, movement dysfunction, and footwear prescription.
This hands-on background allows him to blend clinical assessment with practical, evidence-based solutions to optimise long-term outcomes, not just short-term relief.
He has undertaken advanced training in a range of treatment modalities, including dry needling, foot mobilisation, laser therapy, shockwave therapy, and strength and conditioning. Michael takes a collaborative approach to care, working closely with patients to create treatment plans that align with their goals, lifestyle, and activity demands.
Outside the clinic, Michael is a dedicated Carlton supporter - for better or worse - and is always happy to chat AFL, particularly if it involves Carlton.
He is still keeping himself active in the gym and running. He also has an interest in learning the Italian language and is even happy to have a chat in Italian!
