Rhys graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science/Masters in Podiatric Practice. He has a keen interest in all aspects of podiatry with a particular focus on musculoskeletal pathologies. Rhys also values regularly seeing his long term patients and providing high quality nail and foot care.
Rhys is a lover of all sports who grew up playing basketball at both domestic and representative levels. In adulthood Rhys has taken up running and participated in multiple events including 10km, half marathon and full marathon distances. As part of this, Rhys has gained a deep understanding and appreciation of the injuries and set backs that runners can experience during training. After sustaining multiple injuries along his running journey including heel pain, achilles pain and morton’s neuroma Rhys can understand the frustration when you are forced to take time off running or sport.
To help you achieve your goals Rhys regularly uses modalities including shockwave and K-Laser therapy, footwear and foot orthoses in combination with foot strengthening exercises as part of a tailored management plan. Rhys enjoys nothing more than putting a plan in place to enable his patients to continue doing the activity they love and looks forward to seeing you in the clinic!
