At Be Podiatry, we offer comprehensive assessment and management of activity- and sports-based injury. We understand the frustration of foot or lower limb discomfort, and implications it can have on day-to-day activity or sporting performance. Our team is extensively experienced in thorough Biomechanical Assessment to identify different factors that might be involved in your injury presentation. This includes factors such as current loading plan, previous injury, footwear selection, training surfaces and many more. Our team will assist you in identifying such predisposing factors, then help you in formulating and implementing a curated management plan to reduce overall discomfort, and improve function and performance.
Within our practice at Be Podiatry we offer in-house running gait assessment, with a treadmill and appropriate software to assess the running gait mechanics of your running style. This allows our podiatrists to breakdown the mechanics of your running pattern, identifying factors that might contribute to discomfort such as muscle strength deficit, poor running mechanics, poor foot posture, as well as numerous other factors. Access to this hardware also allows for in-house gait re-training, looking to alter mechanics as a means of reducing pain or discomfort.
Our goals of care include improved strength and function, and early return to sport and activity. Our team of experienced podiatrists can help with all aspects of foot and ankle sports injury, including concerns such as:
- Soft tissue injuries;
- Ankle sprains;
- Shin splints;
- Heel pain;
- Tendonitis;
- Muscle soreness; and
